Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Midnight Gloomglow is sly with a sense of humor that relies on trickery, pranks, and the downright frightening of other dragons. Midnight is a nuisance, likes to cause havoc, and is a thief for she snatches anything that catches her eye, giving her a somewhat bad reputation in the Silverpelt Clan. One of the few dragons she does not bother is Dodge Swiftstrike, her mate, who she holds dearly to her heart and treasures each gift he presents to her, returning the favor by presenting him with onyx jewels and stolen treasures. Midnight finds ways to have fun with battling, wearing her enemy down with traps and pranks before leading them to a dark area and scaring them half to death in some way. She takes no remorse in killing another dragon, and does it swiftly and nonchalantly with a quick swipe of her claws after pinning the enemy down. Midnight is also very skilled at magic, but only uses it if times are dire due to the destructive effects it may have.
