Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Krsna is an adept fighter, as befits a black dragon, but he only fights when he must, and shows no anger or malice even in the heat of battle. He maintains a serene and peaceful demeanor, no matter what storms of violence surround him. (Not that there are many—his particular clan is a relatively peaceful one.) In peacetime, he is a sensualist who very much enjoys the little blessings of life—beautiful scenery, a peaceful conversation about philosophy with Sarasvati or Arete, the breathtaking sight of skywing dragons dancing above him, a lusciously-prepared feast. When needed, though, he can forego all luxury without complaint or any apparent disturbance in his calm, living on very little with no drop in his vitality. Somewhat unusually for a male dragon, he is a vegetarian, and enjoys fresh fruit and vibrantly-colored flowers.
