Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Few know of Sweet Desdemon's true self. Some say she is a reincarnation of a lost human soul, stolen from life in a tragic and senseless murder. Others say she is a sacred spirit of the earth, taking physical form to protect the cave dragons from an approaching evil. Still others scoff at the idea that she is anything other than a runt hatchling, too weak to mature into an adult. Regardless, one fact is for certain: she possesses healing powers of a strength few have ever witnessed within Chameleon's Cave. Along with this power, she also has a deep reservoir of kindness and a magnetic charisma. And so, though she still has her fair share of disapprovers, it came as no surprise to most when Sweet Desdemon was chosen by the elders to become the next Guide of Chameleon's Cave.
