Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Regina is the thirtieth dragon in the Natashina clan and an excellent blend of her parents.  She is overenthusiastic for the morning like her Sun dragon father and at times annoys the nocturnal dragons.  Unlike her father, she can take a hint when she isn't wanted.  She is very energetic and loves going out racing with the Windlash family.  However, she's also gained her mother's patience and kindness, always giving a helping claw. Regina grew up listening to Janthelle's stories and was inspired to try to learn from the humans.  She teaches early morning hunting with her Reginald, for she loves to hunt first thing in the day.  In the late morning, she teaches negotiation with Janthelle, for Regina believes that only by understanding the humans can they live together.
