Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Michelle, much unlike her sister Mia, uses the fact that she is part of a large family to her advantage. Many times, she will go to her grandparents, the leaders of the clan, and complain about this dragon or that dragon who is "bothering" her. She is childish and very selfish, having an emotional fit if she does not get her way. Her siblings, especially Myloz II, find her annoying and usually do not spend much time with her. Therefore, Michelle spends majority of her time with her current mate (whoever that may be) and her close friends, especially the partying silver Kaha.
