Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Itzam is even more ill-tempered than his mother, the grumpy Earth dragon Ornat. He lives secluded in a cave deep underground, accepting to see only his closest family and his mate, Rosabel, who is also his public face. When he's in a particularly bad mood, Itzam slams his tail onto the ground, which sometimes provoke dangerous earthquakes.
