Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Out of any of the dragons in the tribe, Greenhold has the largest number of relatives living in the cave. His father and mother, Gyshling Yax and Salaesha, live with him, as does his sister Gyshlaviere and son Gadzooks.

Greehold, in his younger days, decided that he wanted the resident loner, Heart of the Inferno, for his mate. Their courtship was elaborate, at least on Greenhold's part. Heart of the Inferno was not interested at all, and contented herself with watching the other dragon's strange and sometimes hilarious courting. In the end, she relented, and agreed to his desires. Although she does not love him, the fact that Greenhold loves her is enough for him.

As the son of the matriarch, Greenhold gets a certain amount of respect from most other dragons. He enjoys this greatly, and laps up the attention when he can. His sister thinks he's a bit of a twit.
