White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nytall, like his father, has very strange sleeping habits, preferring to sleep during the day and be active at night.  He prefers night to day because he feels that nighttime is quieter and possesses a greater beauty.  Nytall's patients tend to be nocturnes and nebulas, with the occasional vampire and sunset, or else desperate cases that can't wait until morning.  Because of his coloration and naturally quiet way of moving, Nytall occasionally has prospective patients wake an entire weyr with their screams, thinking they've seen a ghost.
