Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Agatha is the daughter of Antares and Callista, and the heir to the leadership of their clan. She has inherited many of the same traits her father possesses: good leadership skills, a level head, and a large helping of intelligence. However, Agatha is very strong-willed, and she often butts heads with her parents over what decisions should be made in terms of the clan's well-being. On her softer side, Agatha sometimes doubts herself and her ability to one day take up the reins of leadership. She is easily dissuaded by protesting and complaining dragons, as she is too concerned with trying to please everyone. While the struggling Agatha still has much to learn, her parents have every bit of faith in her. She also has a compassionate side, and possesses a strong sense of justice and righteousness.
