Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aurelia is regarded as a little bit crazy by the other dragons in her cave. She has an uncontrollable sweet tooth, and is constantly raiding the local villages for anything sweet. She then stores the candies and pastries in her den, and one can often find them clinging to her golden scales long after she exits. When not pilfering sweets, she spends all of her time with the two Heartseeker dragons, Hershey and Ghirardelli, whom she has claimed as her own. Though they know that she most likely only adores them for their scent, they are certainly not complaining about having such a gorgeous and sweet-smelling dragoness obsessing over them. Any females that venture near their den when Aurelia is around will no doubt face the wrath of a very angry (and sticky) dragoness.
