Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fovocull, which, in ancient draconic, means "eyes of fear", has seldom had anybody meet his gaze for more than a few seconds. His eyes are blood-red, and many swear they can see their own death when they look into Fovocull's evil eyes. Fovocull generally has a dark and serious personality, and he has told no one exactly how he sees the world through his cursed vision. There are only three dragons in the entire clan who can actually look into his eyes: Xaviz, Virixio, and his mate, Rutignir.

Fovocull is, surprisingly, anti-Mint in the war. Although he is wingless, Fovocull has joined the revolution of the winged dragons so that he may inflict fear upon others. Unlike Virixio, Fovocull accepts his dark name, and uses it as his guide. Dragons now will have reason to fear his gaze, as it comes right before his claws.
