When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Festering Feelings was raised in a very volatile family environment. She was raised in a family where anger and hate between kin abounds. Festering Feelings actually has a fairly normal personality, which is strange of anyone in her family. Being so normal in such a volatile family left it's mark on her. Festering Feelings carries a lot of emotional baggage because of the way she was raised. Being surrounded by all that hate and anger has left an incurable mark on her. She was often abused by many of her family members because she wouldn't choose a side in a fight. Her mate is known as Endless Ebony. Endless Ebony inherited the attentive and sweet personality of his mother, making them a perfect match. He easily listens to all her problems and comforts her when needed. He is her support in a stormy sea. Festering Feelings generally avoids all contact with any of her family except Saving Rain. Saving Rain is naturally protective of anyone vulnerable so they get along very well.
