It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

He is very good at his job though, he can tell just by looking at wiggly-jelly who made it. This valuable skill has led him to an unanswered question: how are poor dragons getting jelly from the best batches of Dum Dum's wiggly-jelly. He knows that they surely can't afford it, and he would have been consulted if Dum Dum was having any kind of promotion or giveaway. Still, he keeps seeing dragons of no social or economic distinction with some of the wiggliest jelly he has ever seen. While doing a quality check in Dum Dum's warehouse he checked for any signs of forced entry, but found nothing. He asked Mercutio about it, he is one of the few people who knows of Mercutio's wiggly-jelly obsession because he regularly does wiggly-jelly consulting and selecting for Mercutio, but Mercutio knew nothing.
