Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nightblayze, like most black dragons, is secretive and nocturnal. He prefers to spend his days within the cave, sleeping or practicing magic. He is built lean and agile, his reptilian body nicely proportioned with sleek muscles and shimmering obsidian scales. At night, he's nearly impossible to see. He can see his prey quite well though, and they never know what's coming. He's a voracious eater and even when full he often continues to hunt for the thrill. He's a risk taker and enjoys instigating older dragons in order to test himself, even if it gets him a few cuts and bruises in the end. His sharp attitude and ambition may one day win him his own clan.
