Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Clarice is the shyest of the dragon hatchlings and doesn't talk much. She usually hides behind Moonangel, who she's taken in as an unofficial adopted mother or older sister. Clarice is special though and has already gained most of her healing powers due to the fact that she is a quick learner and very intellegent. Thanks to Frillsin and Coribin she knows how to read, write, and speak ten different languages. But one thing funny about her is that she's scared to death of heights and will not leave an inch off the ground.
