Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

If there was an award for the most despised dragon in the cave, Oralie would be a top contender. He is rude, sarcastic, and nasty to even the nicest of the cave's dragons, and very few want to find themselves in his presence. He is the mate of the ever gentle Tzala, and wants her location known to him at all times. He lost his parents as a hatchling and was never close friends with any of his peers, so he is simply afraid of losing those that are close to him. He truly appreciates the fact that Tzala willingly chose him as a mate, but he knows that he can use his size and threats to make sure that she can never leave him. The only dragon that has come close to discovering exactly what goes on in Oralie's head is Aira the White dragon, but he has forbid her from trying to speak with him out of fear of seeming weak.
