Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Patrolling the skies above Clan Cave is the skywing, Windchill. She is the fourth dragon to have hatched in the Cave, alongside Meech, her foster brother. She speaks to him on the occasions when she can reach his mind. Windchill, despite what her name might suggest, is playful and high-spirited. She is thoughtful and enjoys life, always inquisitive and wondering in an almost childlike fashion. She is far from naive, however, and is in fact, quite intelligent. She is very swift and agile, even for her breed. She races through the air currents surrounding the Clan Cave and comes down on unsuspecting prey like a falcon. Her diet usually consists of mountainous animals such as goats, so that they can be easily obtained while airborne. She enters the cave occasionally, though she can be found curled snake-like around the thin peaks nearby more often. Her scales are a light sky blue and her underbelly is even paler, matched in color by the membranes of her wings and tail.
