Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Long ago, this dragon was just like any ordinary Moonstone. She was gentle, sweet and kind, and everyone liked her for it. Life was wonderful.

Until the night of the unusual full moon.

It was no ordinary moon that hung in the sky that night (though she did not know it); it was an illusion created by sinister magic. Anyone who gazed into the white orb would lose his or her sanity. Forever. So when she lay innocently in a field, looking at what she thought to be a beautiful full moon...

She was never the same again.

Never again will dragons hear this Moonstone's gentle laugh. Never again will they see her kind smile or how tenderly she handled the hatchlings. For she is trapped in a never-ending cycle of screaming, crying, laughing insanity, her eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep. It is a sad story, one told to every hatchlings, that bears a warning.

Things are never as they seem.
