Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shykin is, as her name suggests, a shy Nebula Dragon. She does try her best to socialize, but she feels more at home near the stars in the night sky.  She just never fits in with the others.

Little Shykin was found in a cave, left to die by her mother. Kelasia took to raising her, and she hatched into a rather timid young dragon that preferred to stay near the adults. The other hatchlings would poke fun at her because of her hesitant nature; some even called her a coward.

Shykin is still a very timid adult dragon. However, on clear nights, she spreads her wings and takes flight. She will fly near the stars, because that's where she feels most at home. Dragon Isle's nocturnal residents sometimes take to watching her flutter in the air.

Shykin is friends with Eternal Duskan, and the two of them love to fly, read, and solve puzzles together. In truth, the Nebula Dragon is a sweetheart. Though she is shy, she has a big heart and a kind soul, and that's what really matters.
