Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A bold and infuriatingly vain beast, this self-styled prince has always imagined himself to be the most handsome, intelligent, wondrous male the world has to offer--and thus, any heart that won him would be a "lucky heart" indeed! While his playboy attitude did win the squealing adoration of the shallow, real love always seemed to pass him by, a fact that caused him no shortage of confusion and distress. So distracting was his moping that one day he got himself kidnapped for ransom! Lost in despair, he thought his life was over (his father did not approve much of his ways, and thus seemed unlikely to pay the give-us-your-kingdom price the burglars were asking)--but then a dashing female ridgewing burst into the fortress, beat the snot out of his captors, and set him free! He was smitten; she was just doing a good deed. Unfortunately her heroism now has him chasing her around like a puppy, but on the bright side he's making honest attempts to improve himself to win her heart.
