Far and away one of the most enigmatic of dragon breeds, the Sinomorph is shrouded in near-complete mystery. While the exact conditions that herald its arrival are not certain, it is said to only appear when called upon by all six Zyumorphs. Record of its existence may be limited to folklore and ancient legends, but recent sightings seem to suggest this storybook behemoth may truly walk the lands of Valkemare. If the stories of the past are to be trusted, its appearance serves as a beacon of light in the face of looming calamity.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Within the timeworn dragoncity long called the Breedery by its citizens, there is a rich and ancient oral tradition common to all resident species. Stories, poems, and the like are considered valuable—as good as gold to some dragons. The topic of greatest shared interest is lore concerning the Guardians of Nature and the Sinomorphs, particularly those known to live in or to have visited Breedery land, or the surrounding lands. This lore is often used to entertain the young.

And yet... Hatchlings are never told about the Unnameable One. Adults, one and all, are reluctant to speak of her. Her few tales range from incomprehensible yet disquieting to pure gut-wrenching horror. It is extremely rare for a Sinomorph to fail in their mission of good and fall to inner darkness. But according to rumor, that very thing happened in some distant primordial eon. Once noble, her new, twisted self was an eldritch beast of nightmare legend. Her original name is lost, or so the legends claim...
