Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Markaeth always keeps an eye on Zkai, the Stone Dragon of his master's cave. He has approached the usually immobile dragon in hopes of gaining her as his mate many times, but she always declines, usually coming up with some excuse or another about having plenty of time with choosing a mate from the cave. After the daily episode of being rejected, he is normally found scheming other ways to approach her in the back of the cave.
