Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

She is incredibly strong in every way possible, including her attitude. Gildenblaze was coveted by all from the moment her egg found its way under Vulcanica's great wings—none of the weyr Golds were able to claim her as theirs, so she grew up with an air of mystery about her.

Despite her adoptive mother's attempts to keep her hidden and safe from the disastrous gaze of humans, Gildenblaze is, first and foremost, Preto's soldier. Her interest in battle burst into obsession with the first skirmish she witnessed, peering through the legs of the guardian Stones as Preto drove off a roving band of bachelor males. Nothing has been able to dissuade her from the glory of combat.

Her personality can be overbearing to those who don't understand her. She may be abrasive and even aggressive, but never far from the surface is the intense desire to see her adoptive family safe in both mind and body. She throws herself into battle so that others won't have to.
