Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Zux is Zoom D's younger sibling. He loves to chase his tail and often bites the end, making it bleed. The crafty little dragon uses the red raw skin as a lure to attract prey.

One day, Zux was using his tail for this exact purpose, luring in insects and eating them off of his tail. It was going well, until he got more than he bargained for. An interested Royal Blue dragon bit it, hard. Screaming in pain, Zux flew away, and has never tried to use his tail as a lure again.
