Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows brightly, and seems to prefer warm areas.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Rise is a normal, friendly hatchling, mostly listening to her mothers, sometimes misbehaving or getting into trouble and always curious and playful. The most extraordinary thing about her is the fact that she almost never existed. A spell woven by Fistandantilus, messing with temporal energy and the timelines of reality-as-it-was hit the young hatchling while she was playing hide-and-spying around Delirium's Academy. At first everything seemed fine but over the course of days and weeks, she began to flicker in and out of existence and got less and less real as the time went on. Dragons began to forget about her; she found she couldn't remember her Mummies' faces any more and soon she would have never existed at all. She was saved by an ancient magic of ritual and sacrifice by Lavagg who paid the price so she could live.

Rise is very grateful to Lavagg as are her mothers but she has no idea what exactly the price was. She just wished Lavagg's friends would stop looking at her angrily.
