You were right, it’s not the same species as the other eggs. So if it’s not a dragon, what is it?

And look, it’s gotten bigger! Maybe it will reach its full size soon.

Vinox is smaller than most fishing creatures but has a large appetite, so he got creative. He wove branches together to form a sort of large bowl shape, and lowered it into the water where he knew fish liked to hide.  After waiting a bit, he would throw rocks a little distance away into the water, to scare the fish toward his woven branches. Then he pulled the bowl out of the water in a quick motion, just to find the fish had swum between the branches and away. So, he ate the bowl.

     Another time, Vinox tried tying a bit of vine around the tip of his tail and waving it in the water. At first the fish just nibbled the leaves off each time he tried it, then one bit his tail—hard! Swinging his tail rapidly out of the water, he sent the fish that bit him far out into deeper water.

     Vinox is a vegetarian now.
