Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Long ago, when mages in this land first discovered how to tame dragons, they did so without limit. Massive armies were quickly amassed, and war broke out daily, leading to a time of great darkness. It was then that a council of wise sages put an end to it. Shaking the magic field to its core, the enchantment they cast limited sorcerers to raising only a small number of dragons at once, and peace has reigned ever since.

But with this blessing came a price.

Those dragons who serve sorcerers must breed very carefully, lest the eggs they produce go past their mage's limit. And so it was that this female approached her owner. She was assured her child, the precious egg she and her mate had hoped so long for, would be kept.

But the sorcerer forgot.

No sooner had the dragon laid her beloved egg than it vanished in a burst of smoke, cast into the wilderness. Driven mad by her loss, she now sits eternally beside her empty nest, staring vacantly into the earth as her mate strives uselessly to comfort her.
