Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dragonhaven Island is not a place for the compulsively finicky, especially when one has a mischievous shimmer-scale for a mate. Zagajar doesn't mind sand particularly, as it's usually clean and can have a pleasant scouring effect, but much of the rest of the island seems to be out to get him. Well, the island itself isn't too bad, as long as he stays away from trees, bushes, the garden, and the myriad slimy things that wash up on the beach. The residents are another matter. While the adult dragons are as respectful as can be expected, the hatchlings seem to compete to see who can get the most spectacular reaction out of him. So far, the winner is one particularly intrepid magi hatchling, who managed to coat him in disgusting slime that left him changing color for a week, even after he'd stripped off his scales. Some days, he's surprised his scales keep growing back after all the times he's tried to rid himself of one unpleasant substance or another.
