And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

SC Dreaming of Winter loves to play in the snow. In fact, she once played outside for so long during a snowstorm, she froze! Her growth organ froze over, and ever since, has not worked. She doesn't mind, however, because her small size is very useful. She can crawl into tiny spaces that adult dragons cannot, and even though she doesn't grow, her knowledge does. She loves to surprise adult dragons with her knowledge, often not revealing her frozen state.
