Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

When Briana's Amaranth first came into the world, Milk3000 loved the egg from the moment she saw it. She showed it to her friends proudly never feeling shame about the unhatched Briana's Amaranth. Briana hatched normally and played with many other hatchlings becoming expressly close to Minty Leaf Plant. Her owner Milk3000 loved her very much and then she couldn't grow up in time to live only having an hour left. Milk3000, fearing the death of her beloved hatchling, froze her. Briana's Amaranth's former playmates are now adults and have grown past playing with her, however she plays with their children and will play with their grandchildren and many more generations to come, forever a hatchling. Briana is wiser than most hatchlings and knows she'll be a hatchling even after Milk3000 dies and after all the adults have left the cave, however Briana's Amaranth will stay in her hatching place forever.
