Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Couch is convinced the floor of Kanaye's cave is lava. It started out as the innocent hatchie game, "Don't Touch the Floor, it's Lava". Then, as a young, wingless hatchie, Couch tried jumping from one stalagmite to another when she missed the landing and tumbled to the floor, whacking her head on the rough stone.

When she woke up, she refused to touch the floor, no matter what anyone tried, stating she couldn't, it was lava. She even slept hanging from the ceiling like a bat. The truely odd thing is she never once questioned why others were able to walk on the lava without issue when she couldn't.

In a last ditch effort to give Couch some sort of normal life, Kanaye, Agent and Scribe put their heads together and decided to buy her a "Lavaproof Couch", so she'd have something to sleep on, other than the ceiling.

It worked a little too well. Now Couch rarely leaves the safety of her "Lavaproof Couch", often cajoling the hatchies into bringing her food and entertainment.
