Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Wyth sits at the mouth of the main cave silently guarding all those who lie within. She only moves from her post for two hours twice a day, when one of the other dragons temporally takes over. Wyth uses this time to get some exercise, stretch her wings, bathe and play with her children, whom she rarely sees until they mature.
A good judge of character, not many people with malicious intent manage to get past her into the cave. When she does spot such a person, she immediately drives them away from the cave entrance using her wings, head and tail. Even though she has a sharp bite, she prefers not to badly injure humans, in fear that others of their kind may attack the cave in retaliation.
Spreading her wings as she sleeps at night, her large frame fills the entrance to the cave. This means that should any human, dragon or mischievous hatchling wish to pass through, they must first wake her.
