Alcedine Wyverns are large, colorful dragons found all over Galsreim. They are highly active and become bored and fidgety with nothing to do, so much of their time is spent travelling. Alcedines are quite speedy on the wing and rarely bother to land until they reach their destination. Because of their speed and navigation skill, Alcedines are sometimes sought by humans looking to have items or letters delivered to faraway locales. Many Alcedines will take them up on it for the right price, and it is not uncommon for Alcedines to have a small hoard of jewellery in their dens or rings on their horns.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Macaw is a showy, vain Alcedine. He prides himself in his lustrous feathers and expansive collection of shiny jewels. Like many Alcedines, Macaw is a traveler. He flies all over the world in search of rare or even magical trinkets to add to his collection. Rather than one, collective hoard, he keeps his findings in multiple smaller dens hidden from public eyes. In addition to his looks and wealth, Macaw prides himself in his mate, Tommy. Tommy is a member of the Zyurangers, a famous group of draconic superheroes that traverse the world in search of evil to stop. Macaw likes to flaunt the fact that he's kin with such a powerful group, to the point where you'd swear that's the only reason he mated with Tommy. He especially likes to declare that Tommy is the leader of the group, which is already a hotly debated topic made hotter with Macaw's exclamations. When it comes down to it, Macaw and Tommy do love one another, it's just that Macaw's mouth tends to sway those feelings in public.
