Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Darknesse is normally a calm, rational dragon who is very cautious due to the fact that she could be attacked during the daytime when she is frozen by sunlight. Because of this vulnerability, she lives in a very deep, dark cave and ventures out only at night to socialize with other animals and dragons that happen to be awake at the time. She is curious about daytime animals and wants to know more about light, but her more sensible side tells her that it's not a good idea to go out during the daytime, even on a cloudy day. She enjoys having conversations with the owl that lives in the tree next to her cave and frequently asks him questions about light, even though the owl is usually also sleeping during the day. She hopes to meet a male dragon of a different breed and have hatchlings who, due to the blood of the other dragon breed, may hopefully be able to go out and experience sunlight.
