Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is rather pale in color and likes to sleep while balancing on one leg.

And look! It has grown wings and is much brighter! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This little dragoness is the founder of the Young Wyvern's Complete Learning Association. Despite the name, any hatchling of any breed, frozen-in-time or not, is eligible to join. Their mission is to provide opportunities for young ones to better themselves, through encouraging physical activity and participating in community service projects. If necessary, the Association also provides a safe place to stay for any little dragon in distress. Several decades back, a famous draconic music group called The Village Dragons even wrote a song about the YWCLA and the accompanying dance moves are still fairly popular at parties today.
