Rosebud Dragons are a fun and social breed found most often in the spring. The petal-like feathers that grow on their sides spread their sweet and floral scent. Although they have poor eyesight, they have ribbon-like extensions that extend their olfactory abilities to help create a map of the area around them. When flying, Rosebud dragons tend to hover, using their wings to fan their scent throughout the air. A widespread breed, they go to great effort to visit as many flowery fields as possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Frayed was born, both her parents and the human caretaker who had bonded with them hoped to see her fostered with another family, sent off temporarily to both expand her experiences and bring new blood into old ancestries. When that plan fell through, however, the human sorceress displayed only mixed annoyance, directing the young rosebud to a local stripe dragon rather than griping about foiled family plans. Both dragons quickly fell for one another, and between his love and that of her parents and kin, Frayed was just about the happiest dragon she could be. One small point of contention, however, continued to vex her; her dearest friend Shining, whose story mirrored her own in many ways, never earned the same grudging acceptance from their human guide as Frayed herself had. While Shining dismisses this as unimportant, Frayed is not about to stand for it, and is working hard to convince the sorceress that Shining is far more worthy than the human thinks she is.
