Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ever since her birth, Azleah has been raised and kept in strict isolation, as her father was adamant on keeping his own Magi offspring and their abilities out of the knowledge of the other dragons.  Her mother had left as soon as she had grown wings, presumably for detesting having been forced to stay in isolation along with the hatchling due to Magnus's paranoia.  Because of this, Azleah believes that she had a less than perfectly-loved childhood and tries to keep her anxiety to herself while working with her father to learn their arcane abilities.  She is very quiet and obedient, but wishes to befriend the rest of her family, and often tries to do so while she's supposed to be out hunting.
