Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lurhstaap has been improving the Breedery's security. Maunztross and her mate Savvaj are part of these improvements. Both were captured in the wild as eggs and trained from the moment of hatching to be loyal watch-beasts.

Relatively smart, and of an independent temperament, Maunztross feels little loyalty to the Breedery, but she enjoys her work and is kept well-fed, so she sticks around. While she wouldn't harm Savvaj or the members of her 'flock', everyone else is an enemy at best or prey at worst. Big for a Seragamma but not bulky, Maunztross enjoys a lithe, athletic build which provides a lot of strength, speed, and raw tenacity, but not a lot of damage resistance. As such, she favors ambush tactics. Like a viciously hungry gargoyle, she lurks in the shadowy crags on the Breedery's rocky outside, watching eagerly for intruders. She loves to lurk high above, then drop down down for the kill, overwhelming her foe with her swiftness and might before they can strike back at her.
