Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oedanai, a calm, peace-loving dragon, enjoys the long nights of winter. He soars high above his mountain at the stroke of midnight, his scales flashing with a thousand reflections of the moon. He drinks from his river with long strokes that disrupt the flow of water on such a way that the sky above shimmers like a gem under moonlight. The silver swirls upon Oedanai's legs, forearms, and neck mark him as one of the high Royal Blue family. He and his ancestors past flew above the forest at sundown, returning to the mountain with the appearance of the moon, and dive into the lake at the base of the mountain. The water swirls and glows with moonlight and the beautiful blue scales on Oedanai. His stunning acrobatics end with the sunrise, when he takes to his cave to dream of the moon rising again over his mountainside river.
