Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Unlike other silver dragons, who have full confidence in their beauty, grace and strength, Whysp does not. While he was a hatchling he was bullied daily by the vampire dragon Mamon, who tormented him and told him that he was ugly and stupid. As a result Whysp suffers from an inferiority complex and hides away from the other dragons, even the peaceful mints. <br/>When he reached adulthood, he caught Mamon terrorizing some hatchlings when the other adults were absent, and tried to confront him. The much stronger vampire sent Whysp rolling with a single blow, but the grateful hatchlings remember that he tried to stick up for them and treat him as an elusive hero, often trying to seek him out and get him to play with them. <br/>The only one who holds regular conversions with Whysp is the human female who regularly visits the family deep in their mountain territory. She brings Whysp little treats and gifts and is always trying to get him to stand up for himself more.
