Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

During the dark days of the first Datamonster attack, Whispers vanished from the SixStar cave complex before she'd even cracked her shell. By the time she returned, she was hatched, and already a fierce fighter in her own right. To this day, she bears the marks of a long and strenuous journey; she is half the size of other Albino dragons her age, and still refuses to share her kills with anyone but Six Blade Knife. Her ribs show through her too-thin skin, and she prefers to skulk in the background and hunt from ambush rather than the more direct methods used by the other Albinos. She never raises her voice above a hoarse whisper.

Despite her ferocity to everyone else, she is surprisingly gentle to Six Blade Knife, though the Black dragon has sole responsibility for their multiple offspring. Her life is about strength and preparation—should the Datamonster ever return, Whispers will be ready.
