Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Emerald isn't right in the head, her entire family has a hereditary fear of getting eaten, starting with her grandfather NOM.  She's fairly small, and absolutely terrified of anything bigger than her, as she worries it will devour her.  She's one of Azathoth's betrothed, but she knows his reputation as a devourer, and is trying to escape this arrangement.
