Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ziirenxamsi was the reincarnation of Durrel. Born in the ashes of a barren wasteland cursed by the previous Avatar of Destruction, Durrel, she was morose and savage, and hostile to outlanders, just like the land itself.

Accidentally, Ziirenxamsi met Ahraanrenyil and his friends. Learning their purpose of cleansing the curse upon her blighted homeland where lost spirits raged and life withered, Ziirenxamsi realized how she could help end the blight instead of suffering through it, so she joined their cause. The company of her new friends slowly led her to open her heart a little, and love between her and Ahraanrenyil blossomed under the harsh conditions.

It was her stubbornness that endured her through hardship, and Ahraanrenyil's presence was the only thing that soothed her woe of losing her friends along the journey. In the end, they succeeded, but having nothing left except each other, witnessing the chaos of life buzzing again.
