Fire Gem Dragons are a colorful, flamboyant breed often found in hot climates, particularly around active volcanoes. Their broad tails store the flames they breathe, which are colored by the heavy amount of minerals in the water they drink. These dragons come in a variety of colors, and will collect shiny trinkets and stones that match their own coloration. Despite their hoarding tendencies, though, Fire Gem dragons are social and will often congregate in groups and show off their collections while fawning over the stones their friends and rivals have gathered, occasionally arranging trades.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rhoda is the literal embodiment of chaos. Even when she was an infant, she was a master of disguise, playing the part of the innocent only to deceive those who fell for her tricks. She's extremely unstable, shifting emotions every few seconds, usually between out-of-control wacky mania and dark foreboding sadism. Whatever her mood, Rhoda is a genius. She is the most intelligent dragon in her family, though uses that intelligence for nothing more than spreading more misery and chaos. She typically wears a cloak to hide the abundance of scars her family has given her over the years. Many would assume she is abused, but, in truth, almost every scar on her body was given in self defense. Her parents and siblings attack her because they know what she is and are terrified of her. And, frankly, they have every right. Rhoda is devoid of compassion or mercy. She will prey on everyone around her like a parasite, just looking to play with emotions and ruin lives. A true anarchist, uncontrollable.
