Sweetlings are a small, flightless breed of dragon. They are omnivores who favor sweet fruits and honey, and have been known to go to great lengths to obtain their favorite treats. Their long, prehensile tails allow them to grab onto branches and give them superior balance. Sweetlings are expressive dragons and have a large array of calls to communicate with others. They become very vocal during breeding season and sing long, beautiful melodies to attract a mate. Inquisitive in nature, Sweetlings are known to investigate anything that piques their interest, and are quick to flee if the object of their curiosity strikes back.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Like other Sweetlings in Aquenee's cave, Feathers is yet another blob of walking evil to add to the bunch. Though, Feathers is much less clever, and is much more mindlessly violent, as well as obsessive. Many say that a mate is not all that will define one dragon's personality, though Feathers had a lot to say about that matter. Once he's stuck on a dragoness, he is stuck. He will clamber to find every little detail about everything she enjoys, and strive to fulfill the best match in personality, to a rather disturbing level. This terrifying nature becomes increasingly violent, as he tries to kill any mates of his intended partner by strangling them with his flexible tail. Unless he gets the dragoness he wants, Feathers soon becomes enraged by the denial, and will attempt to end her life so that he can get hooked and obsessive over another female. He has been injured many, many times by failed kills and has become a much weaker dragon over time.
