When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ocero lives in a river in the Amazon rain forest. Well...it used to be a river until some beavers dammed it up, now it is more of a lake. Ocero loves getting to know the wildlife in the river. He knows a family of giant otters almost as big as him! He has been in the same river all his life, but he does not mind. Some dragons traveling by thought he was a scared bumpkin for never traveling to the ocean or anywhere else. Ocero respectfully disagrees. He knows he is happy where he is at, and the river is always changing subtlety each day. Ocero takes joy in finding the new aspects of his home and comfort in the things that remain the same. Besides if he went on a trip to the ocean, he might miss the otters having their pups!
