Floret Wyverns are an elegant breed, named for the flowerlike mane and tail each individual possesses. They project small fields of magic around themselves that calm those in the field’s proximity, for a short while replacing anxiety and anger with peace-of-mind. Florets are strikingly wise; they often share their knowledge of the world with whomever is willing to listen and learn. They are very faithful to those close to them, and are especially devoted to their partners and young. It is said that the lasting friendship of a Floret is one of the highest testaments to one’s true character.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kass is known throughout his family and friend group for his skill at putting together food baskets for various gifting occasions. Whether he receives a request for large elaborate spreads for a new baby, or a small batch of sweets for an apology, Kass is always able to come up with a basket that embodies the sentiments of the sender. His secret is his contacts within the cookery guilds of the neighboring lands: humans and dragons alike are keen to have their foodstuffs showcased in Kass's gift arrangements. Kass is the busiest during holidays when demand is highest, and in the meantime, he is constantly touring cities to taste-test the local specialties. He hopes to someday assemble a book detailing every basket he's ever made, along with the stories behind the requests as well.
