Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As the season warmed to hot, Julianne's egg developed a crack and she worked her way out. Her bright green scales blended well with the foliage around her, protecting her from predators.

Once free, Julianne began exploring. She discovered fluttering butterflies to leap after, tasty berries to snack upon, and sparkling streams to drink from. Her wings grew strong, so when she leapt at a scolding squirrel in a tree, she suddenly found herself airborne and able to stay that way.

Julianne lost no time in flying high, stretching her wings and catching the golden sunlight on them. Descending, she noted it was warmer to the south. The days were growing cooler in her forest, so she traveled southward to stay warm, and made her home in a lush southern jungle.

She pleasures in flying amidst butterflies fluttering above the jungle canopy and roars at any creature that dares to scold her. As the north warms, she travels to visit, but only stays there for the summer.
