Among the most elusive of dragon breeds are the Aeon Wyverns, a breed whose innate control over time mana marks them singular and great. They are able to peer into the multi-dimensional plane of time, seeing all that is, all that has been, and all that could be—within a small localized zone. When utilizing particularly strong magic, the black markings carved into an Aeon’s body glow a bright cyan, painting them in an ethereal blue light. In the past, they have been sought after as oracles to bring swift resolutions to major conflicts, but it is in exactly such sorts of times that they are nowhere to be found; rather than influence the outcome, Aeons much prefer to allow the natural order of things to progress, however grim that may be.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Timebound once met the immortal human Feathers, who led the Old Featherwing Weyr, a collective of dragons dedicated to peaceful coexistence. Feathers was known for her fairness and her love for her dragons, and her inner council was dedicated to her with almost fanatical devotion. Timebound remembers thinking she seemed so small to be a creature whose guidance could lead so many dragons. She introduced herself with the ease of an old family friend, asking permission before gently patting Timebound's ducked head. Feathers did not ask for a prophecy, but Timebound peered into her possible futures anyway. What she saw...

Fire. Blood. So many possibilities drowned in seas of death.

Timebound did not know, then, that war would devour the Old Featherwing Weyr only a few years after that meeting. If she had, she doesn't know what she would have done differently. The river of time has many tributaries and diversions. Perhaps if she'd warned Feathers then, it would have been the same.

Perhaps.
