Kingcrownes are a mysterious and proud species, possessing some of the most beautiful and reflective scales of all dragons. Despite this, what is sought after most is not their scales, but the silk-like hairs that grow along their head, neck, and elbows. The hairs themselves have a magical shine, and are thought to have powerful healing properties when used in potions. The hairs of a Kingcrowne are even believed to bring good fortune to those who possess them. Though it is obvious that these dragons possess magical abilities, it is still not entirely clear what they are fully capable of. Most of a Kingcrowne’s time is spent grooming itself, keeping its scales and fur in top condition.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Yay KK lives in an unusually human-hostile village of dragons, where he is known and scorned as the resident human savior. He spends his days waiting by the village gate for human challengers to approach with hundred-pound armor and wielding flimsy swords, then gently invites them to a cup of tea and platefuls of roasted meat. KK carries the human on his back, safely escorting them through a village full of growling dragons, then sets them down on the floor of his cave and gently explains that, unfortunately, they are now rather trapped. The promised meal is delivered, the sword taken away with a gentle flick of his claw, and the human is kept safe from the hostile village in KK's cave. A dozen or so can be found there at any time, well fed, protected, and usually very remorseful. Those who die in his cave are given proper burials, and a small graveyard is kept well maintained and sheltered by flowers in front of KK's home.
